Service Description

I am enrolled in a 2 year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certificate Program, (MMTCP).  To meet the requirements of the course I must complete two "practice teach" courses.  The first course will be Introduction to Mindfulness.  I am looking for volunteers to participate in a 6 week, 90 minute, in person class starting in March. I need at least 6 people committed to participating in the course. The goal is to introduce mindfulness meditation and the foundational practices of mindfulness of breath, body, thoughts and feelings. No prior experience is necessary. The class is for beginners new to mindfulness and interested in learning more, as well as those who are already familiar with mindfulness and want to reconnect with the practices.  Each week will include a talk, mindful accessible movement, guided mindfulness practice and Q&A.   Week 1 Introduction to Mindfulness Week 2 Mindfulness of the Body Week 3 Being Fully Human: Mindfulness of Emotions Week 4 Working with Thoughts and Beliefs Week 5 The Wise Heart Week 6 Bringing Your Practice into the World The time and dates are Saturdays 10-11:30 AM March 16th, 23rd, 30th, April 6th, 13th, and 20th.
